Last week, in light of the growing uncertainty surrounding Covid-19, ACSI made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 ACSI annual conference due to be held on May 8 in Sydney.
This decision was made in light of the growing number of travel or event restrictions declared by organsisations who would usually send delegates to our conference, as well as uncertainty over a number of speakers availability due to Covid-19. The decision made over the weekend by State and Federal Governments to impose bans on mass events reinforces this decision.
ACSI is committed to promoting ESG issues and providing a space for ESG practitioners, trustees, companies, government officials and regulators to come together to reflect on current ESG investment risks. We will be looking into how we can continue to deliver on this objective and other suitable forums or events we could run on the future to drive progress on current ESG issues.
We appreciate your understanding given the unprecedented nature of this period of uncertainty.
