The Australian Council of Superannuation Investors (ACSI) has this week welcomed two new senior staff to its ranks.
Fiona Manning has joined ACSI’s engagement team as a Senior Analyst.
Fiona has a diverse background across multi-asset investment strategies, climate change research, equity analysis, investment communications and fundamental ESG investment analysis. Most recently, she was a portfolio manager of diversified, ethical and impact funds at AMP Capital and Apostle Funds Management.
She has broad experience in the analysis of ESG issues and sustainability drivers, as well as company engagement on ESG practices.
Hannah Armitage will lead ACSI’s growing research program as Research Manager.
Hannah comes to ACSI from nine years in London at the Financial Reporting Council, the UK audit and reporting regulator, where she worked on corporate governance, stewardship policy and ESG reporting best practice.
Hannah has a background in public policy, having worked at the Australian Department of the Treasury on executive remuneration, director duties and an organisational change initiative to encourage women to enter senior leadership.
Ed John. ACSI’s Executive Manager, Stewardship, says the new arrivals add to ACSI’s existing strengths in ESG analysis, company engagement, research and advocacy.
“ESG issues are becoming more complex, and investors are requiring deeper expertise, across a broader number of issues. ACSI is committed to delivering value to members by strengthening ESG performance in listed companies, and across the market. These new appointments will help us deliver on our mission,” he says.
